Rockhopping to Cable Beach

This was a nice gentle evening, little swell, enough to make it not utterly trivial but light enough I could concentrate on manoeuvring. I borrowed a club boat again (maybe for the last time this season) and I am convinced the red North Shore Atlantic LV is lighter than my own, and turns more readily.

I’m still not 100% comfortable turning to retrieve my helmet, so took the opportunity of mutual rafting to extract hats.

Swimming was on offer at Cable Beach. I preferred to yap. Actually, I’d forgotten a change of clothes so I didn’t want to get too wet.

We did have a bit of a “warning” that if we were planning on being lead paddler (which any and all of us should be able to do) we needed to make sure we hadn’t got detatched from the rest of the group. And that we knew where we were going.
