This is a particularly minute issue. However, I just installed Debian Bookwork on my desktop PC (a reconditioned HP something-or-another), and the time was way out. So I’ve installed ntpsec
which is apparently a security hardened fork of ntp
. That was all I had to do, run the installation. It just worked. There is a config file at /etc/ntpsec/ntp.conf
but it just installed and did what I wanted. I don’t think I installed anything on my laptop; maybe I should look into that.
